2012

Let's say hello to another year! Pessimist would say it's just another year, optimist and idealist would be making a new new years resolution list, realist would realize their resolutions, quitters...undoubtedly quit halfway.

The one thing I like about NYE countdowns are the fireworks displayed...and maybe the feeling of having a little gleam of hope emerging, carrying whispers of a good change forthcoming. Rarely happens though. From afar, fireworks are beautiful. Almost every year I watch them lit up and burst into colorful embers through a TV screen or from the balcony. I rarely go for countdowns because my mom would fuss about the traffic and my grandfather's birthday so happens to fall on this day. But boy, last year's last day was fun! After celebrating gramps' birthday I quickly rushed home, donned on a cute top, popped contacts onto my eyeballs, drew on eyeliner and out I went. In a blink of an eye, I was directly beneath the fireworks and it felt incandescently magical. It's like witnessing a mini supernova. When the little fireworks show ended, we headed to a German pub and chilled. Then I went home and bathed. So...I'm guessing the first productive thing I did this year was actually bathing myself.

Christmas 2011
Before entering into a new year, I always self-reflect and reminisce upon the things I did for that year. But this time, I did neither. Because I was too busy with trivial things and I still want to do many of them!

Okay, so there's been plenty of news broadcasted around about how the world is going to end in 2012 and natural disasters are occurring but don't our beloved Mother Earth throw tantrums every year, randomly? If there really is going to be an apocalypse, I don't want the world to come crumbling down because of natural disasters. God, send some zombies instead! I want to experience a zombie apocalypse! It'll be SO ZOMBIE-TASTIC AWESOMESAUCE!

And here is a funny comic strip about the zombie apocalypse.

Had a great outdoor activity with college mates.

Since I'm talking about a new year, let's see what I did during 2011: (These bullets are in no chronological order.)
  1. Traveled to Lang Tengah with a friend, found out how dangerous it was and how dumb we were to even do so but had fun! Came back unraped, unharmed, just a few bed bug bites. God bless us!
  2. Started a small business, got to know there are many types of people out there and still learning how to handle people. Hope the outcomes are good. And also, hope the business will bloom.
  3. Learnt a thing or two about photography.
  4. Expanded my lomography pictures collection. Oh I'm loving my wall!
  5. Passed an interview! Been getting rejections so many a time, passing one actually feels great. I don't feel so useless anymore.
  6. Volunteered in a zoo! I went there alone but I gained some knowledge. It was rather productive. Though I still get people commenting about me volunteering alone. What to do? #foreveralone.
  7. Participated in marathons, even though the distances I ran were like 5kms, 7kms and the KL Towerthon. I shall aim for 10kms this year. Hopefully, I have the perseverance to train.
  8. Got into a degree course. I hope I could at least pass everything. (I did fulfill last year's resolution! Although I have to admit, I was pretty daft and unambitious.)
  9. And then...I spent the rest of my days studying and stoning.
And after burning all the calories from cycling, we went for Klang Bak Kut Teh and gained all back.
And now, some resolutions!(It's in no order too.)
  1. Earn money.
  2. Travel more. Hopefully Cambodia and then some exchange program for 6 weeks! And if I do earn some money, UK please?
  3. Lose some fats.
  4. Improve on my people skills.
  5. Read God's words more often and at the least, find some peace.
  6. Dress better, get some good fashion sense.
  7. Have some sense of commitment. Follow everything through and do well in them so that I do not disappoint myself.
  8. Secretly, I want to get proposed to at least 2 times? Hahahahahahaha
Shit me, bullet point 8 is never gonna happen.

Me within a year. Because it's my cyber space and I can put up shitloads of pictures of me. The narcissism persists.

Let this month be a month of hope and the other 11 be the months of fulfillment.

P.S. I'll see if I have the mood to blog about our outdoor trip and some other things that occurred last year.
